PRIMA has expanded its capabilities. We now offer bench-scale studies for treatment of PFAS-impacted soil and water, and jar tests for ex situ treatment of water involving a precipitate. Our PFAS bench studies utilize a sorbent (often, but not always, carbon) to remove PFAS from water or stabilize PFAS in soil. Tests to assess removal from water may be batch or column, while tests to evaluate soil stabilization may also include solidification. Jar tests are performed if TSS must be removed or if contaminated water is to be treated ex situ using a method that generates a precipitate – for example, oxidation and pH adjustment to removal arsenic and iron from acid mine drainage. See our June 2025 newsletter for more information.
